Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora

Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora is the Superintendent of Tomball ISD and a 37-year veteran of Texas public education. The district’s first female and Hispanic superintendent, she has led Tomball ISD to statewide and national recognition, including being named the 2023 Texas Superintendent of the Year and a 2024 AASA National Superintendent of the Year Finalist. She currently serves as President of both TASA and TCWSE. Known for her visionary leadership, Dr. Salazar-Zamora has implemented innovative, student-centered programs while overseeing one of Texas’ fastest-growing and highest-achieving school districts.

Dr. Regina Sims

Dr. Regina Sims is a visionary educational leader with over 30 years of experience and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Known for her impactful mentorship, she has guided many educators into influential roles. Believing literacy is the great equalizer, Dr. Sims has driven improvements in academic performance across diverse settings. She excels in using data-driven strategies, building partnerships, and creating innovative programs that promote equity and staff growth. An award-winning professional, Dr. Sims continues to inspire excellence, foster leadership, and advocate for all students.



Mrs. Katrina White

Katrina White is an education professional serving as the Executive Director of Communications and Community Relations for Crosby ISD. In this role, she leads strategic efforts to strengthen community partnerships, enhance public engagement, and ensure clear, consistent messaging across the organization.

With a strong focus on transparency and collaboration, Katrina drives initiatives that build trust, amplify district achievements, and keep stakeholders informed. Her leadership in media relations, crisis communication, and outreach helps create meaningful connections between schools and the communities they serve.





 



Dr. Maty Orozco

Aldine ISD



Dr. Matilda Orozco is the School Assistant Superintendent for Aldine ISD, bringing over 27 years of experience in public education. She previously served as Houston Area Superintendent for International Leadership of Texas, overseeing more than 10,000 students across the Houston and Cleveland areas.

Her leadership background includes key roles in Houston ISD—such as Assistant Superintendent of Technology, Chief School Officer, and Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations—as well as in Beaumont ISD. A former principal of a National Blue Ribbon School, Dr. Orozco began her career as a bilingual teacher.

She holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Houston, a Master’s in Executive Leadership from UH-Clear Lake, and a Doctorate in Professional Leadership from the University of Houston.




Dr. Crystal Romero-Muller

At Tomball ISD, Dr. Crystal Romero-Muller is dedicated to fostering a culture where both staff and student success thrive through strategic collaboration and ongoing professional growth. Drawing on her expertise in educational leadership and teacher development, she supports campus leaders in implementing intentional, collaborative practices focused on preparing students for the future.

Her role highlights her strength in building proactive learning communities that emphasize individual growth within a positive culture. Over the years, Dr. Romero-Muller has nurtured cross-organizational leadership through targeted coaching and mentorship, advancing her vision for innovative and forward-thinking education.



 

Dr. Elizabeth Castillo-Guajardo

Passionate Educator


Dr. Elizabeth Castillo-Guajardo is the Director of Elementary Reading Language Arts, Social Studies, and Dual Language at Houston ISD, overseeing curriculum for over 85,000 students. With 20+ years in education, she is dedicated to equity and culturally responsive teaching. Previously, she served as Executive Director in Hutto ISD and as a principal who led a campus turnaround during Hurricane Harvey and COVID-19. A daughter of migrant farmworkers, Elizabeth holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and Texas Superintendent Certification. She is a sought-after speaker known for inspiring educators and students alike.
